U.S Olympic Silver Medalist, lightweight Keyshawn Davis (11-0, 7 KOs) of Norfolk, Virginia and Argentina's Gustavo Lemos (29-1, 19 KOs) held their final press conference for their fight taking place this Friday night November 8, at Norfolk’s Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia live on ESPN+.
This marks the first major world championship fight in Norfolk since Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker defeated his welterweight title against Buddy McGirt in October 1994. Davis looks to bring back championship boxing to the Seven Cities as he takes on the dangerous Argentinian Lemus.
Also on the card in the co-feature bout, Troy Isley (13-0, 5 KOs) takes on Tyler Howard (20-1, 11 KOs).
Keyshawn’s two brothers will also be featured. Junior welterweight Kelvin Davis (13-0, 7 KOs), older brother goes up against Yeis Solano (15-3, 10 KOs) in an eight-rounder, and his younger brother Keon Davis, makes his professional debut in a four-round junior middleweight fight vs. Jalen Moore (1-1, 1 KO).
Davis-Lemos and Isley Howard will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ at approximately 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. The undercard — also streaming live on ESPN+ — will start at 6:20 p.m. ET/3:20 p.m. PT.
