Super featherweight prospect Robert Guerrero III (4-0, 2 KOs) scored a second-round knockout this past weekend over Dean Fraire at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio. Guerrero dropped Fraire twice in the second round before finishing the bout with a series of right uppercuts, prompting the referee to stop the fight at the 2:41 mark. Guerrero III is the son of former world champion Roberto Guerrero Jr. as he was in the corner for his son's fight.

“Getting my second knockout feels amazing,” said Guerrero III, who goes by the nickname “El Pistolero”. “It’s proof that all the hard work in the gym is paying off, and I’m continuing to grow as a fighter. I knew I had to make a statement in this fight, and I’m glad I was able to deliver a strong performance.”

“Having my dad and grandpa in my corner means everything to me,” continued Guerrero III, who is trained by his grandfather Ruben Guerrero Sr. “They’re not just my coaches—they’re my mentors and the reason I’m in this sport. Their experience and guidance give me so much confidence every time I step into the ring. I want to thank my entire team for the work we put in leading up to this fight, and a huge thank you to all the fans who came out to support me in San Antonio.”

“I’m extremely proud of Robert. He’s been putting in the work, day in and day out, and it showed in his performance,” said Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. “He’s learning and growing with every fight, and I believe he has a very bright future ahead of him. It’s an honor to be in his corner and see him follow in the family’s footsteps.”
